Using my digital caliper, the tiles measure 4.41" wide the self-spacing lugs and .33" thickness. Measures 4.37" on the square edges.These tiles have self-spacing lugs; little bumps on the edges that separate the tiles for grouting. These New Old Stock Tiles have a soft matte finish. These tiles are made by the Mosaic Tile Co. Imprinted on back of tiles is; Made in USA, Mosaic with numbers Made in the 1950's -1960's Please look over the pictures above and ask questions when needed. Frederick Hurten Rhead, the famous potter, worked at Mosaic Tile Company from 1922 to 1923. Many types of plain and ornamental tiles were made until 1959. The company closed in 1967.
