Listed Today… we have this Turquoise Color Surface Bullnose Corner Tile; made by The American Encaustic Tiling Company in the 1940’s -1950’s This Listing is for one corner bullnose tile. These New Old Stock tiles are all the same color & excellent condition…any variance or white spots are only on the pictures. These tiles have a beautiful shinny glossy finish. Measures; 2 inches X 2 inches wide X 5/16 inch deep. The American Encaustic Tiling Company merged in the late 1950’s to form The American Olean Company…these tiles were made before the merger. These glossy tiles are 4-1/4″ inches by 4-1/4″ inches and 5/16 inch thick.Using my digital calibrator these tiles measure 4.30″ wide on the self-spacing lugs and .29 inch thick.Tile measures 4.27″ on the square edge. These tiles have self-spacing lugs on the edges; little bumps that keeps the tile spaced apart for grout. These tiles were made by The Monarch Tile Federation. Tiles are in perfect mint condition. Matches American Olean Color: #21 Cornflower A word about matching the color of your tile: An exact match to your tile would be rare, just getting close in color and size is an accomplishment. The big tile companies of last century made new colors every year and discontinued others…so after 50 years in business there are thousands of colors out there…and even with the same color, every batch may be slightly different.
