Vintage Romany Spartan Ceramic Tile: Glossy Baby Light Blue 4.25″ X 4.25″

Tiles are in excellent condition. verv clean. Some chips and stains on the backs of the tiles. The back says “Romany Spartan” and “made in USA.” Color is a glossy baby blue. Unsure of exact color name as tile did not come in a box. Please see photos. Please note that tile vou receive may not be the one pictured as I have multiple of the same tiles. Tiles are 4.25 inch squares. .25 inch thick. One edge is slightly rounded.

Note, I have two different die lots of this color which were made in different decades, seven tiles are older tiles and six newer tiles, see pictures, the older tiles have the USQTCO imprinted on back. Additional I have two similar color tiles that could work as replacement tiles, see last two pictures… these tiles are only for color comparison and are not included with any purchase from this listing. These glossy tiles are about 4-1/4 inches by 4-1/4 inches…and about 5/16-inch thickness. Using my digital caliper this tiles measures .33 of an inch thick and 4.28 inches wide. These tiles have self-spacing lugs; little bumps that separate the tiles for grouting. Using my digital caliper this tile measures .34 of an inch thick and 4.26 inches wide. These tiles have a beveled bottom about 1/32″ larger than the top; this creates a space for grouting. Adhesive on back has been removed flush with the high ridges on tile; so, there is still some glue firmly attached to the back of this tile which does not interfere with installation.
