These tiles do not have self spacing lugs & will need to be hand spaced as needed.These tiles were made in the1950’s -1970’sthese are made for a mastic type installation. tile is flat just like wall tiles Measures 6″ long; 6-7/16″ with finished end and 2-7/8″ tall. There is a misprint on the tile…should read 6-7/16″ not 6-5/8″ This ceramic tile has been stored in a New York warehouse for 50+ years; Remember these are vintage glazing to an earlier time so they come with minor manufacturing flaw which gives it an authentic vintage look. Using my digital caliper this tile measures .33 of an inch thick and 4.26 inches wide. These tiles have self-spacing lugs; little bumps that separate the tiles for grouting. Using a vintage Romany Tile Color Chart: this color had been discontinued at time of printing. Imprinted on back of tiles is: USQTCO ROMANY & Numbers & Made in USA A word about matching the color of your tile: An exact match to your tile would be rare, just getting close in color and size is an accomplishment. The big tile companies of last century made new colors every year and discontinued others…so after 50 years in business there are thousands of colors out there…and even with the same color, every batch may be slightly different.
